The Olympics, for people who don’t know although I’m sure most do, are a series of competitions and games held for almost all nations across the globe to send their best athletes at each sport/contest to compete for Olympic Medals. The history of the Modern Olympics dates all the way back to mid 1800’s in Athens, Greece in which local city states of the nation would compete. However, due to the Global Pandemic of the Coronavirus going on the Olympic Games for the year 2020 set to be held in Tokyo, Japan are cancelled. The Olympics are hardly ever cancelled and if they are it is for sure something that is a global phenomenon. The last time the Olympics was cancelled was when the world was divided into the Allied and the Axis powers of World War II. This is hopefully the peak of sports being affected by the coronavirus.
