This past Sunday ESPN aired the first two episodes of the Michael Jordan and Chicago Bulls documentary called “The Last Dance”. If you do not know, Michael Jordan is widely considered the greatest basketball player of all time and one of the greatest athletes/competitors of all time. He played for the Chicago Bulls for 14 seasons and he went to 6 NBA Finals, won all 6, and was the MVP of the finals all 6 times. His bulls are considered one of the greatest dynasties in all of sports. This documentary, which is being released 2 episodes every Sunday for 5 weeks in a row, is explaining how the dynasty came to be and how it all came to an end. In my opinion, it is a shame the way the team ended because it all had to do with ownership and management getting in the way of the team itself. Without the selfish ownership, the Bulls probably could have won 9 championships with the last 6 being in a row. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen are considered one of if not the best NBA duo in the history of the sport. With that you add in a defensive specialist in Dennis Rodman and shooters like Steve Kerr, there is no telling the limits of Michael Jordans’s Bulls. This documentary however, explains how people found a way to put a limit on the seemingly endless talent and sheer will the 1990’s Chicago Bulls had.
